badminton bbq yesterday.

i learnt to swim! omg, this makes me sound so noob. yes, i didnt know hw to swim ): tt's my biggest regret i think. borrow suay's extra swimming costume, which was actually belonged to her mom -.- it was very very loose, dont know if i zao genged. wth =.=lll bt anw, thx ruiqi for teaching me to swim. muahahahaha ._.

the bbq was kinda pathetic. initially, thr were only marshmellows, chips, drinks, chicken wings and sausages for eating ._. then the boys dont know hw to start fire, jiajun had to help them aft tt. thr werent any metal gauge nor ice at first.

qianling and i went to ruiqi's house for lunch! :D ahahah, qianling's still s timid s a mice when she saw parents. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! nice food, especially the fried prawns! i'd finish them all if no one else was eating! O: ruiqi has a nice bolster, bt nt s nice s mine (: camwhored a lot a lot! yes, ruiqi camwhored with us! :D shall post them when my bro passes me his card reader.

sch's gonna reopen soon. no more sec4s'08 ): the tough times of mugging and torturing and drillings would soon begin. this is shit. i cant believe im gonna be a sec4 student so soon, sec sch life seemed so short ):

omg, just finished watching 2 hrs of little nyonya nt long ago. feel so sorry for yueniang ): the whole family's so unfair to her! xi-er is reli sweet! if i were yueniang, i'll just marry him no matter what! why must yueniang run away lah omg. stupid huang jia, they're so heartless to treat yueniang so cruelly ): damn! and why m i putting so much emotions into a show? omg, i think the show is very nice lah!

weiyue called me from china! talked to mewleng, yingying, xuewei and zhicheng. was so happy tt we chatted for 38mins plus, then i told my dad bout it, gt scolded like shit, cos he said my bill will be very expensive and tt we teenagers dont know bout the charges of overseas call and hw hard money is earned and tt we spend a lot of money ): aiyah i dont know why, bt i tot it'd be free, cos it's an incoming call x.x

training tdy ): i realise im beginning to dislike trainings more and more. i regretted everytime i went for them, bt we only gt a few more trainings left, im afraid if i give up on trainings nw, i'll regret ltr. damn it, i dont know what to do. zonals like 21 days away. last yr, at this time, we were busy playing games to improve. bt nw we're still doing drills and physical, no games at all. trainings are getting so tough, so boring, so tiring ): shouldnt mention much here. some things r btr to be reserved to myself and maybe a few frens.

had a new haircut! tada! my fringe is very short ): bt nvm, still pretty! HAHA! im getting really byl nwadays O:

ruiqi actually went YIO CHU KANG with me for the haircut. unbelievable! she stays in bukit batok, and even lot1 is far to her. it's a surprise tt she actually agreed to go yio chu kang. oh yes, yio chu kang. i love the market to bits and pieces! omg the food thr was really cheap and good! unlike some of the food in kopitiams or koufus, expensive yet dont taste gd. i ate a lot! and im proud and satisfied with myself (: eating makes me happy, i realise (: tt's gd, i shall eat more in the future. and i realise one more thing: i have small and light bones, which explains why im such a big eater, yet my weight is acceptable! :D oh, what an advantage! :D :D :D FOOD FOOD FOOD! <3

oh and we saw a couple quarrel! haha damn funny x: i know tt sounds evil, bt it's really funny for them to be quarrelling on the overhead bridge!

INDIA TRIP UPDATE! :D (finally)

DAY 1 (9/11/2008)
evening flight to new delhi. parents and aunt's family came to send me off. haha was rather emotional tt day, cant believe i actually cried aft waving farewell to them, hw embarrassing! ): haha bt actually i didnt cry just cos of tt lah. cried cos of some stupid reason which i dont wanna mention :$

on the plain :D

sat between xuemiao and huanyuan on plane. singapore airlines, super comfortable! loved it, cos we get a personal TV to watch movies/listen songs/games and many many other things! watched this movie, "Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging". was alright lah, the plot was rather cliche though. like some very common girl falling in love with some hot guy then eventually they gt tgt kinda thing. lol. the plane's food was delicious! haha! <3> mutton+potato with appetizer, desserts, drink and stuff. omg, the best aeroplane food ive ever tasted! :D played battleships with huanyuan, then some scrabble game with xuemiao and him til the plane touched down in new delhi (:


arrived in india, took bus to the hotel. my first impression of india wasnt gd. noisy, bad air, bumpy roads, nt gd facilities in hotel, water nt clean, have to buy our own mineral water for drinking and even brushing teeth...

DAY 2 (10/11/2008)
-breakfast at another hotel. the food wasnt very nice ._.

-first day of immersion in vasant valley sch. the students were very friendly, they took initiatives to ask us qsns and made us felt welcome. they loved soccer (yes, including the girls) and were actually quite westernised in their characters and speaking. very warm, they exchanged hugs with us (: their classmates were very close to one another, even the boys and girls. unlike in sg, when u see a boy and girl tgt, u'll tease them. they wont do tt (:


-explored ard the sch. IT'S VERY VERY BIG! much much bigger than nanhua!

haha i dont know what's this, bt it's just some place in their sch (:

-learnt a lil indian dance. learnt tt thr're a lot of hand postures and stuff to represent diff things. quite interesting, bt maybe cos most of the time i just sat thr and listen to the teacher, so it's quite boring also ._.

-met partner, rishika. she's nice for the first day, bt pangsehed me aft tt ): so sad lah

-joined their lessons. had sunskript (some language tt is nt used nw), biology (only did one wrksht, we learn diff things frm them. dont know a thing bout their bio x.x)

-lunch, had lunch box frm waveline, some restaurant. it's reli a lot a lot of food, they're nt bad, bt the juice tasted weird. maybe just nt used to it O: did nt finish the food, cos no time alr ):

-resumed lessons. economics, social science (politics). didnt reli pay attention, cos i dont know a thing bout it x.x

-went this place called qutab minar. a lot of... i dont know what they're called. sculptures? buildings? omg i reli dont know x.x bt thr was this tower, it's 234feets tall. the highest fully hand-carved tower!

-tried riding on rickshaw. very fun, very exciting! enjoy the breeze (: bt it's also quite scary, cos the roads were reli bumpy, scared tt i'll fly out of the rickshaw x.x lol!

-dinner in this restaurant called spicy by nature. THE FOOD WAS A LOT A LOT! xuemiao, sheryl and vanessa ate so lil, pangseh me. the food was reli too much for us to finish! ): quite a waste, bt no choice ): i realised the ppl love to add a lot of this certain type of vegetable in their food. i dont know what's it called, bt it looked like spring onion ): dont like the veg ):


-back to hotel! it was reli troublesome to bathe thr. the hangers were so dirty tt they're coated with layers of dust and algae! ): so had to drag the hotel chair into the bathroom to bathe x.x (my point forms are so long x.x)

DAY 3 (11/11/2008)
-breakfast in same place s the prev day, ate same food.

-second day of immersion in vasant valley.

-music lesson where they introduced us some indian musical instrument and taught us their national anthem and an old folk song.

-joined the class for lessons. btr than the first day, cos i talked more to the ppl thr. learnt some basic hindi wrds.




-xuemiao was sick, food poisoning ): saw mrs siew when we're on the way to the washroom. she's super caring, offered xuemiao charcoal pills and kept asking hw she felt, then kept telling xuemiao to tell her if she wasnt feeling well.

-lunch. lunch box frm waveline again, bt diff food.

-gathered into some room. shirlyn, jiayin, dingding, joseph made a presentation of nanhua to the class tt hosted us. i felt touched i dont know why. for the first time i missed nanhua tt much, and was actually proud of our sch (?!?!?!?!?!?!?!) LOL.

-back to class, some of the students taught me this card game called "flush". dont reli rmb hw to play /:

-shopping in deli hut. some market whr the ppl sell hand made stuff. bought souvenirs thr. xuemiao, shirlyn and i gathered very late, cos we were waiting for tt man to finish making our souvenirs. dragged for one and half hrs, tot mr pandian would blast us like crazy. we were so scared, we ran out of the place s soon s the man finished making our souvenirs. ended up seeing mr pandian smiling at us, asking us why so late and telling us nt to be late again. hw relieved.

-dinner in the same restaurant s the prev day, almost same food. cant finish the food again, bt a bit of improvement - i finished tt big big bowl of fried rice for the whole table. super bloated, bt quite proud of myself for eating so much x.x

-back to hotel. extremely tired.

DAY 4 (12/11/2008)
-breakfast. same place, same food.

-third and last day of immersion in vasant valley. had tie and dye lesson, make our own batiks! :D i love my batik! it's actually quite fun making it. first we fold the batik, next tie parts of it tightly with string, then we put the whole thing into the pot of dye, take the thing out, let it cook awhile, untie the strings and TADA! our batiks! :D

-dinner at waves restaurant. it was sheryl's bday, we celebrated it for her (: her mom's real sweet, she secretly gave mr pandian money and asked him to help celebrate sheryl's bday! thr was bday cake and a song performance by their performers thr (: haha im sure sheryl had a reli memorable bday in india (:

-back to hotel. saw quite a few mini grasshoppers in the room when we first gt in ): then thr was this very creepy spider in the toilet, i looked at it disappear into the wall. omg. thr wasnt any gap, it just disappeared so suddenly. gt so freaked out tt i didnt dare to bathe in my own hotel room. bathed in sheyl and vanessa's room instead x.x lol. stupid spider ):

DAY 5 (13/11/2008)
-breakfast. same place, same food, AGAIN!

-2hrs+ bus ride to pathways world sch. the roads were bumpy, like rollercoaster rides!

-first impression of the sch: WOW! big, clean, beautiful!


-they were having children's day celebration. their children's day is 14/11/2008, bt due to some logistic reasons they celebrated it one day early. they had performance put up by the teachers in their amphitheatre and ppl up til the age of 18 were still celebrating tt day. i want my children's day too! x.x

-dinner. whoa, another meal with delicious food! gosh. love their children's day!

-back to hostel. bathed. xuemiao and i went to kavya and isra's rooms. they're new frens we made in the sch, very friendly ppl! we exchange secrets, ate chips and cup noodles, listened to songs, went facebook and added a few of our new frens and watched this dance vid whereby the guy crapped for abt 7mins and finally started to teach us dancing, bt his steps were so complicated we closed the whole vid x.x

DAY 6 (14/11/2008)
-breakfast in the sch's canteen.

-joined the class, interacted with the students.

-separated frm the students thr. they had asthetics, we had arts. then we were divided into two grps, one do ceramic pottery and the other do printing lesson. i went for printing lesson (:

samuer, a fren we made frm the sch, happened to enter the room and show us his artwork. omg, dont u think tt the shoe looked real, he's so talented?

-CIP to this sch for the kids frm poor families funded by pathways. some of the families earn a daily income of only $2 singapore dollar. the kids were reli poor, some wore oversized shoes and some dont even wear any shoes. they ate rice with potatoes and some sauce for their lunch. their sch was actually just a piece of land with a classroom and small playground. we played with them and vanessa took a pic of them. they were so excited to see a camara, aft taking the pics they all crowded ard vanessa to admire the pics with delighted expressions on their faces. we donated money to the sch. we're actually very fortunate to be living in singapore, whr ppl are nt s poor and the state of living is much btr.

-maths lesson. the one and only lesson we joined the students in. it's quite easy actually x.x tot it'd be very difficult. we learnt bout 3d figures ._. haha

-trekking again, bt another place. saw animals like horses and goats. bahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. lol. and a lot of paeces on the floor, most of them were dried up alr x.x had to be extra careful while walking. lol. AND AND AND, WE SAW SNAKE SKIN! EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! FREAKED OUT! ): SOMEONE EVEN PICKED IT OUT LAH OMG. EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! ): snake skin = snakes existed thr = i might see one = OH MY TIAN?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! ):

-attended their sports meet. it was boring, see ppl run run run x.x fell aslp for quite long x:

-back to hostel

-bid farewell to our frens thr ): received souvenirs frm the sch. gt a cap with their sch logo and mug with their sch vision (or mission?). took grp photo

-left for agra. at least 5hrs of bus ride ._. slept, played poker, chit chatted

-the hotel looked nice frm the outside, bt it was actually quite run down in the inside. a bit eerie, maybe cos of the dim yellow lights, red blanket and the wooden furnitures x.x

DAY 8 (16/11/2008)
i didnt take down notes for this day, so i shall just blog based on what i rmbed x.x

-breakfast in hotel

-proceeded to taj mahal, one of the 7 wonders in the world (: had a ride on horsecart, darn cool and fun! :D taj mahal was very beautiful, especially the inside of the building. love the hand carved patterns on the walls, bt we werent allowed to take pics inside the building ):

-bus ride back to new delhi. stopped halfway for dinner. i love long bus rides! :D

-flew back to singapore! :D YES I FINALLY FINISHED POSTING! YES YES I STILL MISS INDIA, THE COUNTRY, MY FRIENDS AND EVERYTHING THERE!
