Went for my Physical Proficiency Test for my application for PE teacher in NIE tdy. Wow.
I was soooooooooo nervous for it, cos ppl ard me all looked so sporty, I felt tiny, super out of place, like some little mice. I thought ppl would be wearing their school PE shirt or at least some sch related shirts, bt apparently I was the only one wearing my ACJC Orientation tee #likealoser omg!
I was put into this grp with 5 girls and idk hw many guys, it's quite a lot of girls as compared to other grps, I must be so lucky to be in tt grp! Haha. They're all very nice, very supportive ppl! And apparently I think I was the only one applying for NIE straight aft A lvls in the grp, at least within the girls. Pretty unexpected actually. No wonder I was the only one wearing my sch based shirt.
My first station was possessive ball game. It's pretty like a Captain's Ball game, just tt we pass ard without any goal or whatsoever, it's just purely attacking and defending. I felt so uncertain of hw I fared, I guess it was somewhere between weak pass and merit. I think I saw weak pass on the score board when I peeked at it? ):
Aiya shan't worry tt much about my possessive ball game. Swimming up next. I was so, soooooo proud of myself! I swam! It's a really great accomplishment, cos I cant swim. Okay I did take on beginners lesson in P3/4, bt I've never swam freestyle since then. I wasnt even gd at it. Thr were swimming lessons in AC, bt all I learnt was blowing bubbles and this hybrid stroke (freestyle kicking with breaststroke hand movement) in beginner classes, which wouldnt really help in practical swimming, like who on earth swims hybrid? Ya, so essentially, theoretically, apparently, my swimming's of a P3/4 standard, which is really really bad. When the tester told us tt we'd fail the test if we were to stop halfway, I was so freaked out my legs went soft. Suuuuuuuuuper scared! And when I went down the 1.8m pool and realised tt I couldnt reach the floor, I was frigging hell scared bt I told myself to stay calm. I swam like thr was no tmr, if I ever stop it'd be so embarrassing, so I just kept kicking and pushing the water behind me, idk if my strokes were right, bt I was struggling like mad, trying to catch up with my breath it was sooooooooo horrible!! Bt omg, I did it! I smoked through 25m in the pool, and I'm really, really proud of myself. HAHAHAHAHA. Weak pass, whatever, at least I passed :D
Agility run aft draining so much of my energy aft an almost life taking experience. Lol. It sucked tt we couldnt take a look at our own timings, I've gt no idea if I actually passed the station. Failing a station means failing the whole test, so every station counts. I hope I passed.
Gymnastics next. Something tt I've feared. We had to do forward roll, backward roll and arabeque, and had an option to choose between cartwheel, handstand or headstand. Everyone did cartwheel. And everyone could actually do it! Like wth, I found it unbelievable cos I actually expected some ppl to nt know some of the stunts, cos they arent common. Bt yes, every single one of them could do the stunts. Gosh, so thankful tt my dad actually arranged this gymnas training session for me with his friend last Sunday.
Lastly, BADMINTON! Was sooooooo relieved to reach tt station, my forte! (: We were paired up according to the name list, and I happened to be playing with this guy, and I kinda took no mercy on him cos I wanted my "outstanding" grade for tt station so bad. I hope I achieved it? If nt I'm gonna be real sad, hw can I nt get my full marks for tt station, aft 6 yrs of training in the sport :/
Results are only gonna be out in 2-3 wks time, which would be really really long to go. And no other unis have contacted me yet, I wish they'd faster do so. Some ppl have alr gotten their rejection letter, bt I've gt totally no news from the unis. It feels like I'm hanging in the air, on the verge of dropping down but still keeping a tinge of hope tt I'd actually fly up to the sky. K bad metaphor, bt u get what I mean.
